The Thailand International Postgraduate Programme is run by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and funds a master's degree at a participating Thai university.
For candidates from the full-support list it is a complete package: tuition, round-trip airfare, the visa fee, insurance, a monthly living allowance, an accommodation allowance, a settlement payment on arrival, a yearly books allowance and a thesis allowance for approved fieldwork. Countries on the partial-support list receive the same package without the international airfare, the Thai visa fee and other travel costs to Thailand.
The programme is aimed at people already working in government or in a field related to the course, and selection weighs the applicant's current position and how the knowledge will be used at home.
Nomination is compulsory. Each eligible country may nominate up to three candidates per academic programme, through its national focal point for international development cooperation, and applications reach the agency through the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General.
Eligibility verified on 19 September 2026 against the TIPP guidelines and the current full-support and partial-support country lists published on the List of Eligible Countries for TIPP page.
