About the Scholarship

UW-Stout considers every international applicant for this award at the point of admission, with no separate application. Undergraduates can receive up to $5,000 a year and graduate students up to $6,000, against international tuition and fees the university estimates at $21,785 for undergraduates in 2026-27.

The university weighs both academic record and financial need. Undergraduates need a 3.0 cumulative GPA to qualify and graduate applicants 3.2, and both have to hold that average each semester, stay enrolled full time, and complete a global involvement activity to keep the award.

Decisions arrive with the admission offer and are final. A student offered both this award and the #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship has to choose one.
