The Kim Nam Kyun International Student Scholarship is a small endowed award at Utah State University reserved for Korean students. The Office of Global Engagement runs it and picks the recipients each spring.
The payout depends on what the endowment earns, up to $1,000 a semester and up to $2,000 across the year. You need to be a full-time Korean national student on the Logan campus, in good academic standing and valid immigration status, and able to show financial need. Students on exchange, fully online students and those in the Intensive English Language Institute are outside the scheme.
Applications open on 1 January and close on 13 March through the USU online scholarship portal, so you need to be admitted first and then apply in your own right. The committee gives preference to students who are actively helping other Korean students at Utah State, which means the award tends to follow people who have already put time into the community.
