The Sokolov Honors College at Youngstown State offers international students $1,000 toward tuition and $2,000 toward housing, on top of the university's other international awards.
First-year applicants need an ACT score of 26 or an SAT score of 1240 with a 3.5 secondary school average. Transfer students need a 3.5 college average, which makes this one of the few Youngstown State awards open to transfers.
The tuition portion renews for up to two further years and the housing portion for one, provided the honours requirements are met each year.
