Alma College awards up to 15 full-tuition scholarships a year and names international students directly in the eligibility sentence, which is rare for an award of this size.
Two obstacles deserve equal billing. The renewal terms require filing the American federal aid form every year before 1 March, which an F-1 student cannot do, and that plainly conflicts with the eligibility sentence. And the selection includes an in-person campus interview on a fixed January date, with no virtual alternative mentioned, which is a serious barrier from abroad.
Both are worth settling with the college before building a plan around it. Candidates who go through the process without being selected receive a smaller consolation award.
