About the Scholarship

Alma College adds $1,500 a year where a grandparent, parent, sibling or spouse graduated from the college, and names international students as eligible.

It turns on family connection rather than merit or need, so it reaches only applicants who already have an Alma link. For most international students it will not apply.

It stacks with the college's merit tiers, and the college describes it as automatic in one place and as something to apply for in another.
