Case Western Reserve University offers a small number of $10,000 Arts Achievement Scholarships to students who are strong in dance, music, studio art or theatre and who plan to major in something else. It rewards the serious musician heading for engineering, or the painter heading for biology.
Music applicants submit a video audition as part of the Arts Supplement through the applicant portal. Dance, studio art and theatre applicants contact the relevant department to set up an audition or a portfolio review.
International students can participate in Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a competition notes otherwise, and this one carries no such note.
You also need a complete admission application and a separate scholarship application with an essay by 15 February, with winners notified by 1 April. At $10,000 this reduces the bill rather than clearing it.
