Case Western Reserve University runs two $10,000 scholarships for high school seniors who have spent at least one full season on a FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge team. Each award renews up to $40,000 over four years as long as you hold a 3.0 GPA.
FIRST runs in dozens of countries, so this is one of the few US merit competitions where an activity you already do abroad is the qualification. One full season on a team is the published threshold.
International students can participate in Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a competition notes otherwise, and this one carries no such note.
The cost to you is a separate scholarship application with an essay by 15 February, on top of a complete admission application. Winners hear by 1 April. At $10,000 a year this is a partial award, so budget for the rest of tuition, housing and meals.
