Case Western Reserve University sets aside a small number of scholarships in the amount of tuition for students who excel in the performing arts. The decision turns on an audition rather than on grades or test scores.
Music majors submit a video audition as part of the Arts Supplement through the applicant portal, which suits a student applying from another country. Theatre and dance majors contact the departments directly to arrange an audition.
International students can participate in Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a competition notes otherwise, and this one carries no such note.
Alongside the audition you need a complete admission application and a separate scholarship application with an essay by 15 February, with winners notified by 1 April. A tuition award replaces any other Case Western scholarship or grant, and housing and meals remain yours to fund.
