Coastal Carolina University
Coastal Carolina pays international transfer students $7,500 a year on this band.
This one turns on an audition or portfolio and a departmental recommendation, with grades setting only a 2.75 floor.
Only one merit award can be held at a time, and the university warns that funding historically runs out after the priority application dates.
$7,500 a year. A student may hold only one merit award and they cannot be combined. Renewal conditions are not published; the university sends them with the offer letter. Full-time enrolment of 12 to 18 credit hours a semester is required.
At least 30 transferable credits, a grade average of 2.75 or above, a major in art studio, graphic design, music or theatre arts, a departmental recommendation, and an audition or portfolio.
The university publishes these on a page headed International Student Merit Awards, stating that new incoming undergraduates, both first-year and transfer, are eligible for consideration. Every tier lists English test thresholds and expresses grade requirements as American equivalents.
No separate application. All applicants are reviewed. Awarding begins in November each year, and the university warns that funding historically runs out for applicants who apply after the priority dates.
