About the Scholarship

Every first-year theatre applicant at Fordham is considered for this one, and the range is wide: $7,000 a year at the bottom, rising to full tuition minus any other tuition-specific aid you already hold.

Both halves of the test matter. You need to clear the academic and talent bar through the audition or interview, and the size of the award also tracks financial need, which for an international applicant is assessed through the CSS Profile.

The renewal bar is lower than on Fordham's academic awards, at a 2.0 cumulative GPA, though you must stay a theatre major. Housing, meals, fees and insurance stay with you.

All entering first-year candidates who are theatre majors are considered. The award rests on both talent and financial need, and the student must meet the academic and talent criteria. Recipients must continue as theatre majors. Renewal needs full-time status, satisfactory academic progress, a 2.0 cumulative GPA, and compliance with university policies and the Code of Conduct.

Apply for admission as a theatre major, which at Fordham means the early action plan for theatre applicants, and complete the audition or interview the programme requires. To have the need element assessed, answer yes to the financial aid question on the Common Application and file the CSS Profile (Fordham code 2259) by the deadline for your admission plan.
