About the Scholarship

Georgia State University waives half or all of the out-of-state tuition surcharge for first-year and transfer students with a grade average of 3.6 or better. At the full level this was worth roughly $8,229 to $10,110 a semester on recent rates.

International students qualify if they meet the grade requirement. Undocumented and DACA students are explicitly excluded.

Awards are made first come, first served against available funds, so applying by the mid-November priority date matters. First-year recipients hold it for four years and transfers for three.
