Gustavus Adolphus College reviews every international applicant for a $43,000 scholarship automatically, which is roughly 72 per cent of its $59,624 tuition.
Read the condition before the amount. The college requires applicants to prove they can pay at least $33,800 a year in order to be considered for admission, so this is an admission gate rather than something a scholarship offer resolves. A student who cannot document that sum will not be admitted, however strong the application.
This is also the only Gustavus award open to international students. Its named merit ladder, from the $42,000 Excellence award down, carries no international statement, and the college routes international applicants to this one instead.
