About the Scholarship

Hawaii Pacific considers every international applicant for academic merit money at the point of admission, with no separate form, and caps the award at half of tuition.

For transfer applicants the university publishes an exact scale: $14,000 a year at a 3.75 to 4.00 college GPA, $12,000 at 3.50 to 3.74, $10,000 at 3.00 to 3.49, and $8,000 at 2.75 to 2.99, each split across the autumn and spring semesters. For first-year applicants there is no published table, only the 50% ceiling, and the admissions office handles those case by case.

Continuing students can keep the award in later years subject to the terms of the specific scholarship, which the university words as a condition rather than a guarantee. All Hawaii Pacific awards taken together cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
