Saint Mary's University of Minnesota pays international students $30,000 a year on this tier, or $29,000 as a transfer, for a grade average of 4.00 or higher.
This is the top of five tiers and sits at the university's stated ceiling of 63 per cent of tuition. Note its renewal bar is 3.0, higher than the 2.0 that applies to every tier below it.
Two conditions shape what it is worth. Living on campus is required, and commuting cuts the award by $4,000. And the award covers tuition only against a total cost of $60,390, so even the top tier leaves around $30,000 a year to find.
