About the Scholarship

The Morgan Stanley Scholarship covers tuition, fees and the equivalent cost of room and board at Spelman for four academic years.

Eligibility

Spelman describes itself as a historically Black liberal arts college for women, so it admits women. Scholars join a multi-year mentorship and professional development programme alongside the funding. International students (anyone who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, plus anyone attending high school abroad) are eligible, because Spelman states that merit-based scholarships are the only form of aid available to its international students and that every admitted student is automatically considered for all merit-based scholarships available to first-year students.
