About the Scholarship

Texas State University's largest guaranteed merit award pays $12,000 a year for four years, $48,000 in total, to first-year students with an SAT of 1420 or an ACT of 32 plus a top-quarter class rank, IB Diploma or AP Capstone.

What makes it worth attention is that the university guarantees it rather than competing for it: the published criteria are the whole decision, and they apply to international students on the same terms as Texas residents.

Renewal needs a 3.25 grade average and 28 credit hours a year.
