About the Scholarship

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln pays $15,000 a year toward tuition for international undergraduates on this band, up to $60,000 across four years.

This is the largest of Nebraska's four Global awards. The university runs a separate guidelines page for each entry cohort, so check you are reading the one for your year: the link you find first may be an archived edition.

Watch the credit load. The award is prorated below 15 credits a semester and pays nothing at all below 12, so a light term costs the student money. Only one Global scholarship can be held at a time.

What It Covers

Tuition

$15,000 an academic year toward undergraduate tuition, $7,500 a semester, for up to four years excluding summers. It is prorated below 15 credits a semester and pays nothing below 12. Total value up to $60,000. A student may hold only one Global scholarship, and these do not stack with other campus-wide merit awards or tuition reciprocity.

Eligibility

Outstanding academic achievement and the English language requirement for unconditional admission. Renewable for three further years on a cumulative grade average of 3.000 measured at the end of each spring semester, 24 credits completed each academic year, full-time enrolment registered by the sixth day of classes, and continued non-resident status. No reapplication is needed.

Eligible Countries

The university states the award goes to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and met the English language requirement for unconditional admission.
