About the Scholarship

The International Freshmen Scholarship pays up to $10,000 a year to international students entering the University of Pittsburgh in their first year. Transfer students are not eligible.

There is no separate form, but applicants must complete the short answer question in the admission application to be considered. Decisions are communicated by 1 April.

The award renews for up to eight full-time undergraduate terms provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

Up to $10,000 a year. The university does not itemise which costs it applies to.

Eligibility

International citizenship is required, and the award is for first-year entrants only. Applicants must complete the short answer question in the admission application to be considered. No grade or test cutoff is published.
