About the Scholarship

The Distinguished Presidential Scholarship at UTSA pays between $500 and $6,000 a year depending on class rank and test score, to a maximum of $24,000 over four years.

The more valuable feature for an international student is what comes with it. Non-resident and international recipients awarded $1,000 or more also receive a non-resident tuition waiver, which is worth considerably more than the scholarship itself.

Consideration is automatic for autumn first-year entrants admitted by 15 January. Renewal runs to eight consecutive semesters with a 2.5 grade average and 30 credit hours a year.
