Overview of Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair
The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world’s largest international STEM research competition for high school students. Students in grades 9-12 or equivalent compete in affiliated science fairs around the globe for the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for nearly $9 million in awards, prizes, and scholarships.

- Finalists compete for nearly $9 million in awards, prizes and scholarships, including category awards ranging from $600 to $6,000, top awards of $75,000 and $100,000, and approximately $4 million in special awards.
Eligibility Requirements
📋 General Requirements
Students must compete in and win a Society-affiliated science fair to be eligible to attend Regeneron ISEF. Research projects must adhere to the International Rules for Precollege Science Research. The research presented must include no more than 12 months of continuous research and cannot include research performed more than 18 months before the competition.
📚 Grade Requirements
Students in grades 9-12 or equivalent.

Students must first compete and win at a Society-affiliated science fair. Information on finding an affiliated fair is available on the Society for Science website.
