Alma College pays $3,000 a year, up to $12,000, for visiting the campus, and says plainly that international students can earn it virtually.
That matters more than the amount. Visit scholarships are common at American colleges and almost always require physically travelling there before applying, which costs an overseas student more than the award returns. Alma removes the travel and writes the accommodation into its international page.
Only one visit scholarship is awarded however many visits you make, and the visit must happen before move-in.
