This four-year scholarship covers tuition at Case Western Reserve University and adds a grant of up to $2,500 for a computer and books, plus help landing a paid summer internship. Its stated purpose is to help economically and educationally disadvantaged students get a Case Western education.
It is open to all first-year applicants and to transfer students coming from community colleges, so the route in is wider than most named awards of this size.
International students can participate in Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a particular competition notes otherwise, and this one carries no such note.
You apply through a separate scholarship application with an essay by 15 February, alongside a complete admission application, and winners hear by 1 April. Housing and meals stay on you, and an award in the amount of tuition replaces any other Case Western scholarship or grant.
