Drexel Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship

About the Scholarship

This is a small, specific award for transfer students coming into Drexel from a community college background with active Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society membership. It pays $500 in each academic quarter and goes to tuition.

Drexel lists the eligibility as domestic and international applicants, so a student on an F-1 visa who joined Phi Theta Kappa at a US community college can claim it.

The timing matters more than the paperwork. There is no separate form, just a box on the admission application, but Drexel will not add the scholarship later, so it has to be flagged while your transfer application is under review.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

$500 in each academic quarter, applied only to tuition. It is paid in class terms, so co-op terms carry no award.

Eligibility

Full-time, on-campus transfer applicants who are active members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Drexel lists eligibility as domestic and international applicants. Students seeking a second bachelor's degree, and anyone holding a graduate or professional degree, are ineligible. It renews in class terms while you stay enrolled full time.

How to Apply

Have a complete admission application on file by the admission deadline and indicate on it that you are an active Phi Theta Kappa member. The award has to be granted during the admission process, because it cannot be added once you are a current student.
