Hawaii Pacific pays between $1,000 and $6,000 a year to incoming undergraduates who join its esports team, and names international students as eligible for its talent awards including esports. That explicit mention is what separates this from the university's other talent areas, which publish no amounts.
The team competes in Collegiate Valorant and recruits for Rocket League and League of Legends, with the university noting that titles may change. Selection is on playing ability rather than grades or financial need, and offers depend on the funding left when an application is reviewed.
Applicants submit the admission application plus a separate esports application and hear back within three weeks. All Hawaii Pacific awards taken together cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
