Idaho State calls this the primary scholarship opportunity for incoming non-resident and international students, and it works as a tuition rate rather than a cheque. Instead of full non-resident tuition you pay 1.5 times the Idaho resident rate, which the university estimates as a saving of over $8,100 a semester.
Eligibility is stated plainly: domestic and international students both qualify. You need a 3.0 GPA to be considered, full-time enrolment of at least 12 credits, and degree-seeking undergraduate status. Post-baccalaureate students and applicants to over-subscribed programmes are excluded.
There is no application beyond admission. Get your file complete, transcripts included, by 1 July for autumn entry or 1 November for spring. Awards are limited and handed out first-come, first-served, so an early complete application is worth more here than a polished essay.
The waiver renews for up to eight semesters against criteria stated in your award letter. Housing, meals, insurance and travel are yours, and any tuition the waiver does not reach is still billed.
