Michigan State places international first-year students on a six-level scale, from Global Community Scholars at $3,000 a year up to the President's Scholarship at $15,000.
Two of those levels, Beaumont Tower and Global Community Scholars, appear only on the international page and not on the domestic out-of-state one, so the international scale reaches further down than the domestic equivalent.
The university is candid that only a limited number of those considered receive an offer, and that it may adjust an award against other scholarships or support from a home government. Applying by 1 November is the way to get an early answer.
