This is aimed at people already working. An MBA applicant needs three years of experience and an engineering applicant two, on top of a strong bachelor's and the test scores, so it sits out of reach of anyone applying straight from a first degree.
As with the undergraduate award, the sequence runs backwards from the usual. The nomination is decided in July and the university applications follow between October and the spring, supported by Amideast advising. A nomination is not a place, so the admissions competition still has to be won afterwards.
Five universities are endorsed and nothing else is funded: Chicago, Stanford, Penn, Harvard and MIT. Funded fields are engineering and business administration, and computer science and computer engineering are explicitly excluded, permitted only as a minor within the engineering school.
The test requirements differ by track. MBA applicants need a GMAT of 650, a GMAT Focus score of 595, or a GRE of 315 with Analytical Writing at 4.5. Engineering applicants need the GRE at the same bar. Everyone needs TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.5.
Two obligations sit outside the academic file. Recipients commit to two years back in Egypt directly after the degree, and male applicants must show proof that military service is completed, exempted or postponed. Applicants must not exceed 35 years old.
The scholarship page and the schedule of events were checked on 16 September 2026, when the deadline for the 2027 intake had passed.
