About the Scholarship

PLU sets aside a $2,000 yearly grant for international students from a short list of countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the Philippines, South Korea and Vietnam. It renews each year.

The quieter prize sits with the Nordic five. Students from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland also receive 32 semester credits on entry, which means arriving with sophomore standing and a shorter, cheaper path to the degree.

There is no form. PLU applies the grant when it sees your citizenship on the admission application, and it stacks with the International Merit Award of $8,000 to $32,000.
