The Alfond Scholars Program is the largest award at Rollins College, and international students are considered for it. Up to 10 are given each year, covering tuition, fees, a double room and a 15-swipe meal plan, a package Rollins values at $83,570 for 2026-2027 and more than $280,000 over four years.
Rollins states that both test-optional and international students are considered. Semi-finalists usually bring a GPA of 3.8 or above with an SAT above 1410 or an ACT above 32, and applicants with a GPA above 3.9 are considered without test scores. Selection looks at the strength of your curriculum and what you have done outside the classroom.
The cost in effort is timing. You have to apply Early Decision I or Early Action with every document submitted by 15 November, and finalists sit a virtual interview with faculty, staff and students. Alfond candidates who miss out are still considered for increased Dean's Scholarships, the Donald J. Cram Scholarship and the Honors Degree Program.
Two things to watch. The award is only for the College of Liberal Arts, and the stated totals include any federal or state awards you already qualify for, which for most international students means the Rollins money does the work. Renewal needs a 3.33 GPA and 24 credit hours a year.
