St. Lawrence University has a decades-long relationship with Kenya, including a semester-long study programme based in Nairobi and Kenyan alumni who have served in the National Assembly. It offers two full scholarships to qualifying Kenyan students each year.
The scholarship covers tuition, fees, room and board. Flights to and from the United States, books and personal expenses are yours, and St. Lawrence grants no travel assistance, so budget for the journey and for your first months on campus in Canton, New York.
The file asked of you is substantial: the Common Application and essay, your transcript, KNEC results where you have them, test scores where you have them, three recommendation letters and a fully completed and signed Certificate of Finance. Everything goes directly to the Office of Admissions.
The deadline is firm. Applications that arrive after 1 February are not considered for this scholarship, so work backwards from that date with your school.
