Temple lists this among its scholarships for international students, and it pays $10,000 for each of four academic years. What qualifies an applicant is the city they come from rather than the country: Philadelphia has eleven sister cities, and Temple funds first-year applicants from them.
Those cities are Abruzzo and Florence in Italy, Aix-en-Provence in France, Douala in Cameroon, Frankfurt am Main in Germany, Incheon in Korea, Kobe in Japan, Nizhny Novgorod in Russia, Tel Aviv-Yafo in Israel, Tianjin in China, and Torun in Poland. A student from Rome or Warsaw falls outside it, which makes this one of the narrowest awards in the directory and one of the least contested for anyone who does qualify.
There is a separate application form, linked from Temple's international scholarships page, and winners are announced by 1 April. Temple publishes no grade threshold and no selection criteria for this award.
