University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship is one of six automatic merit awards the University of Alabama publishes for first-year students who are not Alabama residents. It is worth $28,000 a year towards tuition, and it is banded strictly by test score and GPA.
To land this band you need a GPA of 3.50 or higher together with an ACT composite of 32 to 36 or an SAT total of 1420 to 1600 from one sitting. UA sets out the same table for out-of-state and international applicants, and says the values and names are identical for both groups.
There is no separate form. Apply through the UA Undergraduate App and have the testing agency send official scores by the deadline for your entry term. UA ignores superscores and self-reported figures when it sets these awards, so the single-sitting score is what counts.
The published figure is a yearly value towards tuition. Housing, meals and fees sit outside it, so plan for those separately when you cost out the year.
