The UA Competitive Admissions Scholarship is one of two premier competitive awards that the University of Alabama's Student Financial Aid and Scholarships office hands out to entering first-year students. UA publishes the value as $6,000 up to the value of tuition, so the band is wide and the top of it is a full tuition award.
Selection is holistic. UA reads academics, honours, leadership, service and life experiences off the admission application, which means there is no score you can hit to guarantee it.
This award sits on UA's out-of-state and international scholarship page, which describes the competitive scholarships as ones those applicants may be eligible for. Unlike the automatic merit bands, a test score is optional here.
Applying costs you nothing extra. Submit the UA admission application by the deadline for your entry term and the office reviews you from it.
