About the Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is the largest academic award Sewanee gives, paying full tuition, fees, room and board for the year. Exactly one is awarded annually.

Consideration costs you nothing extra. Submitting the Common Application with all required admission documents puts you in the pool, and Sewanee states that all applicants are considered for merit scholarships with no separate application. That holds for international applicants, who are asked only to add the financial documents every international file requires.

Renewal depends on maintaining satisfactory academic progress. With one award a year, treat it as an upside rather than a plan, and read the EQB Award range as the likelier outcome of the same review.
