CU Denver Additional Merit Scholarship

About the Scholarship

CU Denver adds a competitive award of up to $8,000 a year on top of the automatic merit scholarship its international students already receive, so the two can be held together.

Unlike the automatic award, this one needs a separate application, the university's combined financial aid application for international undergraduates. It opens on 1 August and is reviewed monthly after the priority date until the money runs out, so applying early matters.

An offer must be accepted within two weeks or it lapses. Renewal needs full-time enrolment and a cumulative grade average of 2.5.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

Up to $8,000 an academic year, on top of the university's automatic merit scholarship. It is awarded as either the International Admissions Presidential Award or the International Admissions Distinguished Scholarship, one per student.

Eligibility

Selection is by grade average together with a completed financial aid application for international undergraduates. An offer must be accepted within two weeks or it is withdrawn. Renewal needs full-time enrolment at 12 credits a semester and a cumulative grade average of 2.5.
