About the Scholarship

Ole Miss waives up to the whole non-resident fee for international transfer students, and unlike most American transfer awards it reaches students transferring from universities outside the United States as well as within.

Supply is the constraint. Twenty are available at any one time, recipients are chosen over the summer, and selection is a ranked competition on grade average with no published floor, so a strong record is what decides it rather than clearing a threshold.

Students funded by their own government are excluded, and the award applies to a first bachelor's degree only.

What It Covers

  • Fees

Up to 100 per cent of non-resident tuition fees. The university states the money is credited to non-resident fees only, and while it may be combined with other scholarships it will only apply to that portion. Twenty are available at any given time.

Eligibility

Transfer entry toward a first bachelor's degree. Recipients are determined over the summer and awarded to applicants with the highest grade averages, subject to available funding, university grades and evidence of English proficiency. No grade floor is published; it is a ranked competition against that year's pool. Renewable for up to four years while academic progress and grade requirements are met and legal status is maintained.

Eligible Countries

The university states international students who transfer from universities within or outside the United States may qualify. Students externally funded, for example by their government, do not qualify.
