About the Scholarship

The Faber Scholarship, named for the Jesuit Peter Faber, is the entry level of the University of Scranton's academic merit ladder, published with a $28,000 average award.

International applicants are considered. Scranton's international application information page states that all accepted students are automatically evaluated for academic merit scholarships, with no special application required and the amount given in the acceptance letter.

The award asks nothing extra of you. There is no scholarship form, no essay and no separate deadline, and applicants who choose not to send SAT or ACT scores are still evaluated.

As an average figure rather than a fixed one, your offer may come in higher or lower. It is aimed at tuition, so housing, food and fees at Scranton's residential campus need separate funding.
