About the Scholarship

The Loyola Scholarship, named for the founder of the Jesuits, is the third step on the University of Scranton's merit ladder, published with a $31,500 average award.

International applicants are considered. Scranton's international application information page states that all accepted students are automatically evaluated for academic merit scholarships, with no special application required.

There is no extra form, essay or interview. Scranton reads the admissions application and sets the scholarship from it, then confirms the figure in the acceptance letter. Students applying without SAT or ACT scores remain eligible.

The published number is an average, so individual offers vary. Plan on covering housing, food and fees separately, since this award is directed at tuition.
