About the Scholarship

The Trustees Scholarship is the University of Vermont's second merit band, paying $10,000 to $15,000 a year for four years, and it is open to international applicants as well as out-of-state Americans.

No separate application is needed and the university is test-optional, considering every applicant for merit scholarships whether or not scores are sent.

Renewal needs 12 credits a semester and a cumulative 3.0, checked at the end of each spring term.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

$10,000 to $15,000 a year across four years or eight semesters. The university's course catalogue gives a narrower band of $10,000 to $14,000; the award's own page carries the wider figure and is maintained for the coming cycle.

Eligibility

Admission as a first-time first-year student with outstanding academic performance. Renewable across four years or eight semesters, needing 12 or more credits a semester and a cumulative grade average of 3.0, reviewed at the end of each spring term. The university is test-optional and considers all applicants for merit scholarships regardless of whether scores are submitted.

Eligible Countries

The university states these scholarships need no separate application from prospective first-time first-year undergraduates who are out-of-state residents or international, and its admissions page states international students are eligible for merit scholarships of up to $30,000 a year.
