About the Scholarship

Washington College's Honors Fellowships add $1,500 to $5,000 a year on top of its Colin Ferguson grant, and the college states directly that international students can be nominated for them.

They come with mentorship and programming rather than money alone, and are grouped by area of interest, from theatre and ornithology to writing and environmental study.

This is published as one entry because the college names the programme collectively when addressing international students. Its individual fellowships each have their own names and values, but none carries its own international sentence, and one is restricted to Maryland's Eastern Shore.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

$1,500 to $5,000 a year in annually renewable merit awards, plus mentorship and specialised programming. The college states these can be combined with its merit scholarships, so they stack with the Colin Ferguson grant.

Eligibility

Admission as a first-year student, then nomination. The fellowships are grouped by area of interest and each carries its own focus; the college publishes them collectively for international applicants rather than naming which are open individually.

Eligible Countries

The college states admitted students could also be nominated for honours fellowships and merit awards ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 a year which can be combined with merit scholarships, on its page for international students.
