Whitworth University pays international first-year students up to $9,000 a year on a three-tier table, and it is one of the few in this directory to publish IB and A Level equivalents alongside grade averages.
That matters for applicants outside the American system. The university uses test scores only where grades, IB or A Levels are unavailable, rather than requiring them.
The figure looks small until you see the context: Whitworth cut tuition from $54,000 to $26,900 for 2026 to 2027, so $9,000 is a third of tuition rather than a token. There is also an upgrade route, with updated transcripts accepted until 1 April.
