The out-of-state waiver cannot exceed the out-of-state portion of tuition, $468 a credit hour in 2026 to 2027, and changes as credits are added or dropped. The university has not yet published its 2027 to 2028 figures, which it says arrive in late autumn 2026; the annual cash values have held steady across the last two cycles.
Entry as a first-time first-year student typically with a grade average of 3.88 , or 3.83 with an SAT of 1250 or an ACT of 26. The university states international applicants must have completed the SAT or ACT, so the test-optional route open to domestic applicants is not available to them. Renewable for up to three further years on satisfactory academic progress and full-time enrolment of at least 12 credit hours. Competency-based education students are not eligible, and the university may cancel an award where tuition is covered from another source.
The university states it offers academic and talent scholarships to qualified domestic and international students, defines international students as F-1 and J-1 visa holders, and notes that all tuition and fees for them are assessed at the out-of-state rate, which is the table used here. Applicants are evaluated automatically during admission.
No separate application. Awards are made by the admissions office during admission. Applications for spring 2027 entry close on 1 December 2026, and autumn entry has historically closed on 1 February.
