Overview of GENIUS Science
GENIUS Science provides understanding and solutions to environmental problems using scientific knowledge. Students are expected to present a solution using scientific methods for a problem which fits in one of the following categories: Environmental Quality, Ecology and Biodiversity, Resource and Energy, Human Ecology, and Innovation. Each project can be prepared and presented by up to two students. Presentation of models is highly encouraged but not required. A research description paper is required as part of the application and presentation.

- RIT University scholarships are available for award winners (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention, Participant, Finalist) for study at RIT, ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 renewable scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements
📋 General Requirements
A science project can be prepared and submitted by up to two students. The project description paper (research paper) is required and must follow the provided template. The recommended maximum page limit for the research paper is 15 pages (excluding title and references) with acceptable font sizes (11 or 12 for Calibri or Arial) and page margins (one inch or more). Projects without results will not be accepted. The research project file name must be in English characters, less than 25 characters, and submitted in PDF format with less than 5MB in size. Students should also prepare and submit a QUAD paper for their research, which is optional but highly recommended.

Application Process
The application process involves preparing and submitting a research description paper (required) and an optional QUAD paper. Tutorial videos are available for project registration account creation and science project application.
