The European Summer Program on Rationality (ESPR) is an immersive 10-day workshop for mathematically talented students aged 16-19 with a desire to understand themselves and the world. Now in its 9th iteration and organized by FABRIC, a Prague-based nonprofit funded by Carina Initiatives, ESPR is held at a residential venue in Somerset, United Kingdom. The curriculum covers topics from game theory, cryptography, and mathematical logic, to AI evaluation, argumentation, communication styles, and cognitive science. The goal is to help students develop rigorous, quantitative skills and a toolbox of useful concepts and techniques applicable in all walks of life. A sister program, PAIR (Program on AI and Reasoning), is available for students aged 16-21 who are interested in AI-focused content.

How to Apply
The application process involves three stages: Stage 1 requires submitting an application form, which includes a task and open-ended questions. The application form is shared with the PAIR (Program on AI and Reasoning) camp, allowing applicants to apply to either or both programs. Stage 2 consists of approximately two hours of tasks, with invitations sent within two weeks of the deadline. Successful applicants are then invited for an online interview in Stage 3, with final decisions expected by mid-April. Applicants are allowed to use large language models but must disclose which model was used and how.
