Boise State waives $5,000 a year of non-resident fees for international first-year students with a grade average of 3.10 to 3.29.
This is the lower of the university's two general non-resident bands, which international applicants are considered for automatically. Note that its financial aid page prints a wider band of 3.10 to 3.39 for this award while also giving 3.30 and above to the Summit award; the admissions tables give 3.10 to 3.29, which is what is used here.
Understand what these are. The university states plainly that they are not cash awards: they apply only to non-resident fees, and resident fees plus any uncovered portion remain payable. It also says it offers no fully funded scholarships, with a combined ceiling of $17,000 a year across awards.
