Florida State University waives the entire out-of-state portion of tuition for admitted international first-year students, which it values at about $18,452 a year and $73,808 across four years.
That is a larger sum than most named scholarships, and it needs no application: the university says admitted international first-year students are considered automatically.
It is a waiver rather than a grant, so the in-state rate and all fees remain payable, and it does not extend to study abroad. Renewal needs 15 credit hours a semester and a 3.0 grade average, which is a heavier load than the 12 hours many awards require.
