About the Scholarship

Iowa State University awards admitted international undergraduates $5,000 to $10,000 a year, up to $40,000 across four years. Transfer students receive $5,000 to $8,000 a year to a $20,000 maximum.

Unlike most awards at this level, a separate application is required through the university's scholarship portal rather than following automatically from admission.

The funds apply only to tuition and fees. Renewal needs a 2.5 cumulative grade average, 12 or more credits a semester and continued international classification.

Eligibility

First-year applicants are reviewed holistically on test scores and secondary school grades. Transfer applicants need a cumulative grade average of at least 3.0. Students must accept admission by the stated deadlines and remain classified as international.
