Juniata College considers every admitted international applicant for a merit scholarship of up to $40,000 a year, renewable at the same amount for up to eight semesters.
The ceiling is high for a small college, but read the college's own framing alongside it. It states twice that no full-cost scholarships are available and that international students are expected to provide a substantial proportion of their expenses.
One procedural step catches people out. Applicants who are not American citizens or permanent residents must file the international student financial aid application before the college will even review their application for admission.
