Beasiswa Reguler is the main LPDP scholarship, open to Indonesian citizens for a master's or a doctorate, in Indonesia or abroad. It is the default route: the other LPDP schemes are targeted at particular fields or partnerships.
The package is split into education funds and support funds, and between them they cover almost everything. Tuition and registration, a book allowance, thesis or dissertation research costs, international seminar fees and journal publication costs on one side. Transport, the visa or residence permit, health insurance, a monthly living allowance, settling-in costs and emergency assistance on the other, with a family allowance for doctoral scholars.
Funding is capped by time rather than by amount: 24 months for a master's, 48 months for a doctorate.
The university list is the constraint most applicants meet first. Destinations must come from LPDP's own approved list. Holding an unconditional letter of acceptance lets an applicant name a single institution; without one, they name three from the list, in the same or a related field.
Four kinds of programme are excluded outright: executive classes, distance learning, international classes, and any degree spread across more than one country.
One rule rules out a large group before they start. Anyone already enrolled in a master's or doctoral programme cannot apply.
Selection runs in three stages over roughly four months: an administrative check, a scholastic aptitude test, then substance selection. For the 2026 Batch 2 cycle, registration ran from 30 June to 31 July 2026, results were announced on 30 November 2026, and funded study begins on 1 January 2027.
Scholars commit to returning to Indonesia after graduating.
The Beasiswa Reguler page and the registration schedule were checked on 16 September 2026. LPDP publishes age limits and language test minimums in its separate scholarship booklet rather than on these pages, so they are not listed here.
